Tim began The Refuge in 2006 with a core group of people who wanted to plan a church that would minister to hurting people and expand God's kingdom. He became Pastor of First Baptist Church of Oakville where he served from 1995-2006. He has been Pastor of The Refuge Church from 2006 to the present time. Tim also writes a weekly column for the St. Louis Post Dispatch and another newspaper in Southwest MO. He and his wife Kelly currently live in the Oakville area of South St. Louis County, MO. They have five children, Johanna, Jedidiah, Cassandra, Ashley, and Nick. Tim's vision is for a church that communicates God's love in an understandable way and that does our part to further His kingdom. He wants a church that grows to the point that it can plant other churches that will replicate themselves as well.
